Daylight Engineering is a dynamic Civil Engineering firm located in downtown Concord, NC. As part of the team, you will work in a collaborative environment with PE’s and EI’s on a wide range of projects including subdivisions, multi-family, commercial, and industrial development. Responsibilities:

Regulatory research and determination of project requirements
Drafting of plans to include site design, grading, erosion control, storm drainage, and utilities
Prepare complete calculation packages to meet regulatory standards
Prepare submissions and Application Packages
Field inspections and documentation of installation of design components
Communication with local and regional and state reviewers to facilitate approvals

Required Skills:

Ability to track down required information
Disseminate critical path items and organize scheduling
Ability to draft compliant designs
Ability to produce calculations showing compliance with regulatory standards
Responsiveness to questions and comments
Ability to work independently

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited University.
E.I. certification OR sitting for the FE (Must be able to obtain E.I. within 6 months of hire)
Good written and oral communication
Excel, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and general computer and typing skills.
